How do I create a press kit?
Register as a developer and start your 7-day free trial. In your dashboard, click 'Create Press Kit', add game details, upload screenshots and trailers, and publish. Your kit is then indexed and discoverable in browse and search, with analytics and trackable pitch links on premium plans.
What pricing plans are available for developers?
We offer annual-only premium plans with two indie-focused tiers: Indie Starter ($29/year - 2 press kits, 1GB storage, 2 team seats) and Indie Plus ($59/year - 5 press kits, 3GB storage, 5 team seats). Limited-time launch promotion: Founding Member ($19/year, 25 spots) and Early Adopter ($39/year, 75 spots) with full Indie Plus features and locked pricing forever. All plans include a 7-day free trial.
Why use PK Nexus instead of a free link (Google Drive, Notion, etc.)?
Free options host your files but don't get you found or measured. PK Nexus gives you SEO and discovery (media and creators browse by genre and platform), analytics (views, unique visitors, where traffic came from, and which pitch links were opened), and live store data (Steam/itch.io price and updates on your page). You get one professional link that stays up to date and one place to maintain, plus trackable pitch links so you can see when journalists open your outreach.
How many press kits can I create?
The number of press kits depends on your subscription tier. Indie Starter allows 2 press kits, and Indie Plus allows 5 press kits. Each press kit can showcase a different game or major expansion. All tiers include 20 screenshots per press kit (soft cap) to ensure quality showcases.
How does play testing work for developers?
In your dashboard, open the Play Testers tab and turn on 'Accept play tester sign-ups' for any press kit. Gamers and content creators can then sign up as play testers on that kit's page. You'll see signups in your dashboard and can send them keys (Steam, itch.io, etc.) when you're ready. They receive keys in their Dashboard → Play tests tab.
What happens after my trial ends?
After your 7-day trial, you'll have a 7-day grace period to upgrade. During the grace period, your press kits remain visible but you can't edit them. If you don't upgrade within 14 days total, your storage will be removed, though your account remains for future reactivation.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. When you cancel, you'll retain access until the end of your billing period, then enter a grace period before storage removal.
Can I embed my press kit on my own website?
Yes! Copy an iframe or script snippet from your dashboard (Integrations or Embed section) and add it to your website. The embed shows a press kit carousel that drives traffic back to your full kit on PK Nexus.
What are webhooks and how do I use them?
Webhooks notify you when something happens, for example, when a pitch link is opened, a play tester signs up, or you send a key. Add a webhook URL in your dashboard (Integrations) and we'll send the details there. You can connect Discord, Slack, or any URL that accepts HTTP POST requests.
Can I schedule my press kit to publish automatically?
Yes! Set a date and time in your dashboard to publish your press kit automatically. Perfect for launch day. Schedule in 15-minute increments and your kit goes live without lifting a finger.
Can I invite team members to manage my press kits?
Yes. Invite team members from your dashboard; they get their own access and can collaborate on your press kits and posts. The number of team seats depends on your plan (Indie Starter: 2 seats, Indie Plus: 5 seats).
Is there a referral program?
Yes! Share your unique referral link with other developers. When they publish their first press kit, your next subscription renewal is pushed back by about a month. Find your link in your dashboard under Integrations or Referrals.
