How to make a game press kit (checklist)

The goal is simple: someone should be able to cover your game without emailing you for basic assets or details.

15-minute “good enough” checklist

  1. Write the hook (1 sentence) + short description (1–2 sentences).
  2. Add a trailer link (or a short gameplay clip).
  3. Upload 8–12 screenshots (variety + clarity).
  4. Fill the fact sheet : platforms, release, price, genre/tags, store links.
  5. Add a logo (light + dark preferred) and key art if you have it.
  6. Add contact info (email + preferred socials).
  7. Publish and publish your press kit page for discovery in browse and search.

Make it press-friendly

  • Make downloads easy : logos, screenshots, and key art should be accessible without hunting.
  • Answer obvious questions : platform, release window, price, and the best store link.
  • Say what you want : review requests, interviews, creator coverage, and playtesting. Make it explicit.

Turn it into a discoverable page

Most devs stop at “here’s a link.” PK Nexus goes further: your press kit can be discoverable in browse and search, and you can track views, referrers, and pitch-link opens.
